Apple Crisp

1 C FLOUR

3/4 C ROLLED OATS

1 C PACKED BROWN SUGAR

1 TSP CINNAMON

1/2 C BUTTER SOFTENED 

4 C CHOPPED PEELED APPLES

1 C SUGAR

2 TBS CORN STARCH

1 C WATER

1 TSP VANILLA

In a mixing bowl, combine first four ingredients.  Cut in butter until crumbly.  Press half into a greased 9 inch square baking pan.  Cover with apples.  In a sauce pan, combine sugar, corn starch, water, & vanilla.  Cook & stir until thick & clear.  Pour over apples.  Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture  Bake @ 350 degrees for 1 hour or until apples are tender.
